    Job Summary:

    The Inventory Management Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing inventory levels to meet business demands. This role involves conducting detailed inventory analysis, forecasting inventory needs, and developing strategies to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. The Analyst collaborates with various departments, including procurement, production, and sales, to ensure seamless inventory flow.

    Responsibilities:

    Data Analysis and Reporting

    • Monitor inventory levels and sales data to identify trends and anticipate demand

    • Create reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management

    • Analyze data to identify cost saving and efficiency opportunities

    Inventory Planning and Forecasting

    • Develop and maintain inventory forecasting models

    • Set inventory targets and reorder points based on forecasted demand

    • Monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet sales and production goals

    Inventory Management

    • Manage inventory levels and replenishment for multiple warehouses and locations

    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products

    • Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues

    Process Improvement and Optimization

    • Continuously review and improve inventory management processes

    • Implement new systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy

    • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and reduce costs

    Inventory Auditing and Compliance

    • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of inventory data

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

    • Identify and address any inventory control issues or discrepancies

    Team Collaboration

    • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as sales, operations, and finance

    • Communicate inventory updates and changes to relevant teams

    • Work together to develop strategies to improve inventory management and meet company goals.

    Qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.

    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).

    • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

    • Experience with inventory management software and systems.

    • Ability to develop and implement inventory optimization strategies.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

     

    The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 plus bonus.   Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
