As the Communications Operations Specialist, you will work closely with the senior vice president of Communications and function vice presidents as a trusted partner on executing Inc. Communications initiatives. The role is a liaison across the Inc. Communications function, driving alignment and connection to our mission, values, and business objectives. This position reports to the senior vice president of Communications for BAE Systems, Inc. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Work closely with the Inc. Communications SVP and VPs as a strategic partner to plan daily operations and manage team workflows in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
+ Lead and manage Inc. Communications projects, leadership messaging, approvals, organizational updates, and change management;
+ Drive operational efficiency and lead process improvement initiatives;
+ Act as a liaison across the Communications function to ensure alignment, prioritization, and accountability;
+ Monitor key organizational KPIs and facilitate data-informed decision-making;
+ Make judgements, recommendations, and advise on analysis of factual information;
+ Manage the business rhythms for the Communications function, including team meetings, planning cycles, and reporting;
+ Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and briefing documents;
+ Drive internal communication and culture-building initiatives to keep the Communications team engaged and informed;
+ Manage SVP and VP calendars, schedule meetings, and organize travel and logistics;
+ Act as an integrator for the Communications function, partnering across the function and maximizing effectiveness of the team;
+ Coordinate with other functions to support Communications-related initiatives
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
+ Bachelor s degree required, with a preference for a degree in Communications, Business Administration, or related field;
+ Proven track record of working with senior leadership and managing complex, cross-functional projects;
+ Comprehensive understanding of a communications function, its purpose and processes;
+ Discretion in handling confidential information and high-level decision-making;
+ A comprehensive knowledge of business processes and procedures and ability to propose improvements;
+ Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
+ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities;
+ Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks to projects;
+ Experience in fast-paced environments and large enterprises;
+ Experience with project management tools and approaches;
+ Excellent use of Microsoft Office tools (Teams/M365, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
