The Precision Guided Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line designs and manufactures cutting-edge sensors and guidance kits that empower customers to successfully execute precision strike missions. BAE Systems is currently seeking a Program Quality Engineer (PQE) to join our Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System (APKWS) Production Program team. As a key contributor to this program, you will play a critical role in supporting over $250 million in annual sales revenue at our Hudson, NH factory.
The PQE will play a key role in ensuring the seamless manufacturing and support of the APKWS across our facilities in New Hampshire and Texas. The PQE will be responsible for guaranteeing that our products and services meet established quality standards, encompassing reliability, usability, and performance, throughout the entire program life cycle, from proposal to sustainment.
The PQE will leverage their quality expertise to drive compliance, identify opportunities for process improvements, lead root cause corrective actions, and inform business decisions with data-driven insights.
Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential, as the PQE will need to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, influencing stakeholders and driving results.
As a part of an interdisciplinary program team, the Quality Engineer will be involved in (but not limited to) the following:
+ Reviewing Customer requirements to ensure proper flow down
+ Quality Management System audits of manufacturing areas
+ Interact with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Program Office and other Engineering disciplines as required
+ Frequent interaction with the Customer thru Customer Source Inspection and preparation and presentation of Customer documentation
+ Serving as the overall voice of the customer to ensure that all requirements are accurately satisfied
+ Data Extraction /Analysis /Compilation
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of experience or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree
+ Strong Collaborative skills both within and external to the Quality Function
+ Ability to read and comprehend drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
+ Ability to drive successful completion of Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Actions
+ Self-motivated and able to manage daily priorities with minimal oversight and direction.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Experience with AS9100, PPV/AS9102 FAI, and AS9145/PPAP
+ Software and Hardware Quality experience in commercial, automotive, or aerospace & defense hardware and software technology with emphasis on Hardware Quality skills
+ Green Belt/Black Belt Certified
+ Experience with a Quality Improvement Program (Zero Defect, Lean Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, etc..)
+ Ability to devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
+ Perform and Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
+ Secret Clearance or ability to attain
+ Experience using Quality Databases
+ Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality
+ Experience with Software Quality Assurance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
