Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Valid NYS Certification in Spanish 7-12 with 5-6 extension.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of Spanish

+ Knowledge in research-based instructional strategies

+ Demonstrated ability to teach at the middle school levels

+ Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and to interact positively with students, colleagues and parents.

+ Demonstrated proficiency in meeting all school routines in an efficient and responsible manner

+ Ability to use data to assess student progress and performance and plan instruction to meet the needs of all learners

+ Knowledgeable in reliable methods of classroom management

+ Demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct learners

+ Demonstrated willingness to contribute to students outside of the classroom (i.e. class/club advisor, chaperone at school-wide events)

+ Effective interpersonal communication skills

+ Demonstrated ability to infuse technology to enhance instruction

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Teach Spanish grades 5-8

+ Contribute to whole school environment

SALARY: Per WTA Contract
