The UW Medical Center - Heart Institute** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Full-Time, Day Shift, Program Coordinator/Scheduler.

WORK SCHEDULE

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Review and prioritize incoming referrals from multiple sources using their knowledge of each physician's specialized skill set

+ Triage incoming referrals to assure the appropriate specialist will be reviewing referrals

+ Handle intake of each referral requests, ensuring complete information is received and entered into the electronic medical record system in a timely manner

+ Schedule initial patient appointments either in person or via Telemedicine based on provide and patient preference

+ Manage and resolve a high volume of phone inquiries and messages

+ Review appointment follow-up requirements and expectations with patients. Educate them to ensure adequate understanding of the purpose of each appointment and follow-up recommendations

+ Offer financial assistance to self-pay and underinsured patients. Provide them the necessary steps to apply for financial counseling

+ Serve as a primary program contact to other departments, patients, providers outside facilities

REQUIREMENTS

+ High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty

+ Three years of Patient Support Service experience

+ OR

+ An equivalent combination of education/experience

$47,724.00 annual

$68,244.00 annual
