    About the Role:

    The Lead EVS (Environmental Services) Aide plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within Meadows. This position is responsible for overseeing and performing cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The Lead EVS Aide coordinates daily work assignments, mentors team members, and ensures that all cleaning protocols are followed meticulously to prevent the spread of infections. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying areas needing attention and collaborating with other departments to support overall facility operations. The Lead EVS Aide contributes significantly to creating a welcoming and hygienic environment that supports patient care and staff productivity.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Previous experience in environmental services or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare setting.

    + Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and infection control standards.

    + Ability to read and understand safety guidelines and cleaning protocols.

    + Strong communication skills to effectively lead and coordinate with team members.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience in a supervisory or lead role within an EVS department.

    + Familiarity with healthcare facility regulations and standards

    + Training in hazardous materials handling and waste disposal.

    Responsibilities:

    + Supervise and lead a team of EVS aides in daily cleaning and sanitation activities across assigned areas.

    + Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and specialized medical spaces following established protocols.

    + Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunctions or shortages promptly.

    + Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and infection control practices to maintain high-quality service.

    + Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with cleanliness standards and address any deficiencies immediately.

    + Collaborate with nursing and other facility departments to coordinate cleaning schedules that minimize disruption to patient care.

    + Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supply usage, and staff attendance.

    + Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and emergency situations to uphold facility hygiene.
