A well-established company in **Farley, IA** is seeking an experienced **Diesel Mechanic** to join their team. This is a hands-on position responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of diesel trucks and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems

+ Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections

+ Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently

+ Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and complete necessary repairs

+ Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

+ Keep the shop organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards

Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or related role preferred

+ Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

+ Welding and fabrication experience a plus

+ Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus but not required)

+ Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a dependable work ethic

Schedule & Pay

+ **Hours:** Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm

+ **Pay:** $25–$35/hour, depending on experience
