    Summary

    Responsible for field investigations, special inspections, material testing, project management, performance and engineering calculations, and authoring on-time reports.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform a variety of functions under direction of Senior Professional Engineer

    + Prepare engineering studies and reports

    + Perform special inspections, various field inspections, and materials testing as needed (soils, concrete, masonry, steel)

    + Perform test boring/test pit observations, laboratory analysis, and preparation of geotechnical calculations and reports

    + Project coordination and project management of Special Inspection and Construction Materials Testing work

    + Implement Quality Assurance, and assurance of field and laboratory adherence to technical standards and applicable codes

    + Engage in continuing education to develop skills and keep certifications current

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or related

    + Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certificate

    + Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook

    + Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers and clients

    + Strong organizational skills

    + Familiarity with construction materials, procedures and documents a plus

    + Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

     

    Compensation: $24 - 30/hour
