J** **ob Summary:
Caterpillar’s Large Power Systems division has an exciting opportunity available for a Supply Chain Planning Engineer in Griffin, GA! This role will support Griffin’s specialty product lines. You will perform analysis to identify and develop business improvement opportunities and to evaluate return on investment (ROI) of the opportunity.
What you will do:
+ Identify, define, and implement integrated supply chain solutions and performance improvements, including building internal and external alliances to explore opportunities.
+ Establish effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with business partners and internal functions.
+ Investigate and incorporate industry benchmarks, metrics and best practices to develop optimal supply chains for suppliers and/or product sets.
+ Develop and analyze data and information to identify and prioritize opportunities for improving performance and creating more cost-effective supply chains, inventory utilization, and business partnerships.
Skills you will have:
+ **Analytical Thinking:** Working knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
+ **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
+ **Logistics Management:** working knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.
+ **Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP):** Working knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
+ **Process Improvement:** Working knowledge and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
+ **Project Management:** Basic understanding of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
+ **Supplier Management - MFG:** Working knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
+ **Supply Chain Management - MFG:** Basic understanding of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
