**Description** Lead electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers with oversight from licensed professional engineer. Apply expert knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry. Apply knowledge and experience to complex projects, find non-standard design solutions. Conduct quality review of production drawings for a variety of projects and project related data as required by the project managers and company quality review standards to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software. Responsible for construction administration including coordination with field personnel to resolve electrical design related installation issues, calculations, field inspections and testing of electrical systems. Manage field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients. Compile studies and reports. Write specifications. Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications. Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met. Manage sales and marketing efforts, identify and manage key pursuits. Manage the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance. Complete quality review and approve project budgets and cost estimates. Report project performance. Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to the electrical engineering practice, mentor and guide less experienced staff. Provide performance feedback to managers about staff performance. Participate in recruitment and development of staff. Responsible for QA/QC process adherence and process improvement. Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies. Complies with all policies and standards. Telecommuting is allowed up to 30 days per year. Primarily domestic travel up to 25% is required based on project needs.

**Qualifications** Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a directly related field from an accredited program plus thirteen (13) years of electrical engineering experience.

Must have thirteen (13) years of experience in each of the following:

+ Standard engineering techniques and procedures.

+ PLS-Suite,

+ Performing quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a directly related field from an accredited program plus twelve (12) years of electrical engineering experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree with thirteen (13) years of described experience.

Must have twelve (12) years of experience in each of the following:

+ Standard engineering techniques and procedures.

+ PLS-Suite,

+ Performing quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.

Primarily domestic travel up to 25% is required based on project needs. Telecommuting is allowed up to 30 days per year.
