Summary of the Job:
The Partnership Risk Implementation role will lead the ideation, implementation, and analysis of complex risk management initiatives for Partnership Risk under the guidance of SVP, Partnership Risk. This role requires strategic vision, exceptional project management capabilities, and deep expertise in both risk management principles and the Partnership Division business lines (Credit Card, UCL, POS Lending, Operations, Marketing). The role is responsible for managing complex strategic and tactical elements of Bank risk related programs, including program execution, adherence to regulatory requirements, executive reporting, and identifying process improvement opportunities to optimize organizational efficiency and productivity.
About This Role:
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead strategic risk initiatives spanning multiple business lines and interdependent departments, oversee technical aspects of initiative implementation to ensure quality outcomes (e.g., risk assessment revamp, Archer implementation, operational risk committee planning & implementation; heightened standards implementation), and manage prioritization, challenges and conflicts related to such strategic risk initiatives
+ Build and maintain strategic partnerships across all levels of the organization; lead cross-functional teams through complex change initiatives; influence without direct authority to drive division-wide adoption
+ Oversee and coordinate Partnership Division risk related reporting to the Board of Directors, executive leadership, Compliance Committee, and other risk related committees and working groups, coordinating with the business as necessary (e.g., Partnership Risk performance reporting; operational risk reporting)
+ Determine compliance and risk training requirements for all employees in the Partnership Division and assign such training in compliance with bank policies and programs
+ Serves as liaison between staff, Compliance Management and SVP, Compliance regarding Compliance project updates, proposals, and planning
+ Implement risk policies and programs and identify opportunities to harmonize risk approaches across multiple business lines for the Partnership Division
+ Ensure risk management practices and procedures across multiple business lines meet regulatory requirements while supporting business objectives, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation
+ Optimize Partnership Risk new hire onboarding process to promote a seamless transition in which employees feel welcomed, well-informed, and equipped as they acclimate to their team and individual roles
+ Maintains general compliance subject matter expertise in order to provide credible challenge to management and key stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with an aptitude for delivering information effectively to all levels of management, including senior management
+ Ability to think creatively and strategically, while developing and implementing tactical solutions to business plans
+ Ability to ideate, develop, and implement machine learning and AI solutions to drive efficiency and enhance risk management capabilities
+ Demonstrated understanding of compliance program concepts, with an ability to translate this understanding into effective programs that meet business and regulatory needs
+ Excellent project/time management skills and the ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
+ Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to make reasoned decisions under pressure.
+ Strong collaboration and influencing skills – ability to identify and influence key decision makers across various levels and functions within the organization
Job Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience
+ 5+ years’ financial services risk management experience, particularly in consumer protection, consumer lending, operational risk, or compliance
+ 5+ years of experience leading complex, large-scale initiatives across multiple functional areas
+ Significant understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations of large or mid-size financial institutions
+ Certified Regulatory Compliance Management (CRCM) (or willingness to obtain such certification within 24 months after hire date) or other relevant risk management certification or commiserate experience
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $95,857.00-$162,957.00

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
