Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Versant is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Analytics to lead a team focused on driving audience, content, product, and enterprise insights across MS NOW’s digital products. This role is central to partnering on MS NOW’s digital experiences and consumer offerings, with a strong emphasis on editorial decision-making, audience engagement, and monetization strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Strategy
+ Lead and mentor a team of analysts across content, marketing, product, and enterprise analytics.
+ Develop and execute a cohesive analytics strategy aligned with MS NOW’s digital priorities.
+ Partner with editorial, product, marketing, and business stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights.
Content & Editorial Analytics
+ Deliver timely content performance insights to editorial and programming teams.
+ Develop frameworks for measuring audience engagement, retention, and conversion across platforms.
+ Enable experimentation with data-driven hypotheses and measurement plans.
Product & Marketing Analytics
+ Collaborate with product teams to optimize user journeys, feature adoption, and personalization strategies.
+ Support marketing teams with campaign performance analysis, audience segmentation, and marketing attribution.
Enterprise & Monetization Analytics
+ Build models to forecast and analyze subscription growth, churn, and lifetime value.
+ Partner with finance and strategy teams to inform pricing, bundling, and monetization strategies.
+ Ensure data integrity and consistency across enterprise reporting systems.
+ 8+ years of experience in digital media analytics, with a strong background in content and editorial analytics.
+ Proven leadership experience building and managing analytics teams.
+ Deep understanding of digital audience behavior, content consumption patterns, and media monetization models.
+ Expertise in tools & languages such as Databricks/Snowflake, SQL, Python/R, Adobe/Google Analytics, Tableau/Looker/Domo, and experimentation platforms.
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex data into compelling narratives.

+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.

+ Salary range: $125,000 - $160,000 (bonus and LTI eligible)
