Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, Strategic Initiatives is part of the Cordis _Spark Program_ , a rotational leadership development initiative designed to accelerate future leaders through exposure to enterprise-level projects. In this role, the Senior Analyst will support strategic initiatives by conducting analyses, preparing executive-level deliverables, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Each rotation provides hands-on experience in strategy, analytics, and program execution while offering exposure to senior leaders and critical business priorities. This role is designed for early-career professionals who want to build a strong foundation for future leadership opportunities within Cordis.
The Spark Program is designed to accelerate development through 2–3 rotations over a 2–3 year period across functional, regional, and enterprise areas. At the end of the program we would expect graduates to take a functional or regional role within the business. During the duration of the program Cordis will offer mentorship with senior leaders, curated training programs, and dedicated forums and offsites for experience sharing within the program.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support strategic projects and decision-making.
+ Build financial models, market assessments, and business cases under the guidance of project leaders.
+ Prepare executive-ready presentations, reports, and dashboards that communicate progress and insights.
+ Assist in maintaining project governance processes, including milestone tracking, risk logs, and deliverables.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teammates (Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, etc.) to execute assigned workstream activities.
+ Support change management activities, including preparation of communications and training materials.
+ Contribute to identifying process improvements and provide insights to senior stakeholders.
+ Rotate across 2–3 assignments over 2–3 years to broaden exposure across functional, regional, and enterprise areas.
Qualifications
+ +5 years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy.
+ Bachelor’s degree required (business, economics, engineering, finance, or related field). Combined education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
+ Strong academic record and demonstrated leadership potential.
+ Experience in healthcare or medical device or healthcare a plus.
+ Project/program management experience or certification a plus.
Expected Areas of Competence
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently on defined tasks.
+ High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Strong communication skills; able to synthesize data and present clear insights.
+ Collaborative and adaptable, able to work effectively with diverse teams.
+ Intellectual curiosity, eagerness to learn, and openness to feedback.
+ Professional presence with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders in a support capacity.
+ Resilience and flexibility to navigate a rotational development program.
