    Kelly Services is partnering with a leading steel fabrication company in Albuquerque to hire an Entry-Level Purchasing Specialist.

     

    If you’re detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in procurement, supply chain, or operations, this is your opportunity to get your foot in the door and grow with an industry leader.

     

    This is a hands-on, temp-to-hire position that offers full training, mentorship, and real career advancement potential into Buyer or Supply Chain Coordinator roles.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Assist with purchasing materials and supplies for ongoing fabrication projects.

    + Review project drawings and bills of material (BOMs) to determine what’s needed.

    + Request quotes from vendors and compare pricing, quality, and delivery times.

    + Create and track purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery of materials.

    + Check inventory levels and communicate with warehouse and production teams.

    + Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records.

    + Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

    + Learn to use purchasing software and systems (training provided).

    What You’ll Bring:

    + 1+ year of related experience or relevant coursework in business, supply chain, or manufacturing.

    + Strong communication and organizational skills.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    + A positive attitude and willingness to learn purchasing systems and industry processes.

    + Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
