    Security Officer – Full Time – Denver, CO

    **Wage:** $19.19/HR - ($21.83/HR After 6 Months & $22.30/HR After 1 Year)

    Available Schedules:

    + Mon - Thurs: 7AM - 3PM

    + Tues - Sat: 7AM - 3PM

    + Fri - Tues: 7AM - 3PM

    + Mon - Fri: 7AM - 5PM

    **Join our team at Securitas Security** where you will have the opportunity to serve your community while receiving advanced training in safety and security. You will become certified in CPR-AED, Trauma care, X-ray imaging in threat detections, De-escalation techniques and use of force to mention just a few. These positions require a high level of customer service and professionalism with the ability to work under pressure. While prior security experience is highly preferred, we are willing to train the right candidates.

    What Your Day May Look Like:

    + Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.

    + Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force is required.

    + Working directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community.

    + Writing detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.

    + Security screening all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.

    + Monitors surveillance cameras.

    + Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force is required.

    Position Requirements:

    + 18 years of age or older.

    + High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.

    + Standard computer / technology skills needed - The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.

    + Customer service experience preferred.

    + Security, Law Enforcement, OR Military experience a plus!!

    + Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus!!

    + Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.

    + Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.

    + All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

    + Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., cell phone).

    + Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).

    + Must have the legal right to work in the United States.

    + Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

    + Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.
