We have an exciting opportunity for an **Automation and Process Control Engineer at our Midland, Michigan Site** . The successful candidate will be responsible for the defining and delivering Alarm Management, PSM, Grow & Improve projects using Automation and Process Control systems in alignment with tactical and strategic Business Technology objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities:
+ Applies knowledge of the Automation technology to define and implement solutions for PSM, Grow and Improve projects.
+ Leads or participates in front end loading of capital projects.
+ Provides input into Business Technology Implementation Plan (BTIP)
+ Provides input into Multi-Generational Technology Plan (MGTP)
+ Participates in PHAs
+ First contact in MT for advanced process control troubleshooting for Operations
+ Responsible for providing technical automation training and coaching to Operations Engineers and Technical staff.
+ Provide required automation support for PHA’s
+ Validates technical solutions and documents results to drive toward a standardized Automation Technology.
+ Provides technical input for Management of Change.
+ Lead or Participate in Project Reviews
+ Collaborates across MT, Operations, EHS, R&D, etc.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree with process control experience will be considered.
+ 5 + years of chemical process manufacturing, or related experience preferred. Strong track record implementing, improving, and supporting Process Control systems, preferably including experience with DCS (preferred experience in ABB 800xA).
+ Experience with High Hazard processes and process safety management preferred.
+ Experience with SIS lifecycle & Functional Safety Assessments is preferred.
+ Good track record in troubleshooting and problem solving.
