    Description

    As aSolar Electrical Apprentice, you’ll work under the supervision of licensed electricians and experienced solar professionals to assist in the installation, wiring, and maintenance of residential solar energy systems. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while contributing to a sustainable future.

     

    You’ll receive training, mentorship, and real-world experience that can set you on a clear career path toward becoming alicensed electricianorlead solar technician.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist licensed electricians with the installation of electrical equipment, wiring, and devices for residential solar PV systems.

    + Learn to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation blueprints.

    + Support the installation team in mounting solar panels, running conduit, and performing system terminations.

    + Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local and national electrical codes (NEC).

    + Use hand and power tools effectively and maintain them in proper working condition.

    + Perform basic troubleshooting of electrical systems under supervision.

    + Maintain a clean and organized job site at all times.

    + Demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn and grow.

    Qualifications & Experience

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + 1+ year of experience in electrical work, construction, or solar installation preferred (training provided for the right candidate).

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.

    + Ability to work safely on roofs and ladders for extended periods.

    + Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various outdoor conditions.

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    + Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
