    Description:

    Position Purpose:

    The milieu therapist ensures a therapeutic environment conducive to the mental and emotional healing of persons served. This position will work within the Child/Adolescent Partial Hospital program. Will promote wellness and recovery through structured interactions and activities.

    What you will do:

    + **Therapeutic Support** : Provide emotional and psychological support to patients, helping them navigate their feelings and behaviors in a safe environment.

    + **Group Facilitation** : Plan and facilitate therapeutic groups and activities designed to improve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, and personal growth.

    + **Observation and Assessment** : Monitor patients’ behaviors, interactions, and progress; document observations and report significant changes or concerns to the treatment team.

    + **Crisis Intervention** : Respond to behavioral crises, implementing de-escalation techniques and ensuring the safety of all patients and staff.

    + **Collaboration** : Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

    + **Milieu Management** : Maintain a supportive and therapeutic environment by promoting positive interactions and maintaining structure within the milieu.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s in human services and 1 year of direct care experience.

    + ACT 33/34/73 Clearances required.

    + Pre- Employment Drug Screen.

    + Child Protective Services Law training (CPSL)
