    + GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    + The Patient Financial Services Associate performs varied clerical accounting skills associated with patient accounts and insurance billing. Also includes patient account insurance follow-ups, self-pay balances and patient refunds.

    + EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

    + Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally required through a high school education, with some postsecondary education preferred.

    + Additional training or working knowledge of related business preferred.

    + Knowledge of computers, printers, copy machines, adding machines, postage machines and fax machines.

    + WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    + Two years of experience working in hospital finance, physician office or billing and collections or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
