    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector with a strong background in First Article Inspection (FAI) and supplier quality assurance. This position is responsible for verifying and documenting product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and AS9102 standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in FAI documentation, dimensional inspection, and supplier verification within an aerospace manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements, ensuring all documentation, measurements, and validations are complete and accurate.

    * Inspect products, materials, and assemblies from suppliers to confirm compliance with blueprints, specifications, and purchase order requirements.

    * Verify dimensional accuracy, material certifications, and Certificates of Conformance (CoC) against customer and company standards.

    * Prepare detailed FAI documentation packages and maintain accurate inspection records and traceability files.

    * Assist quality engineers and supply chain teams with nonconformance investigations and supplier corrective actions.

    * Manage and organize FAI and inspection documentation for audit readiness and retention compliance.

    * Interpret blueprints, engineering data, and manuals to determine inspection methods, tools, and acceptance criteria.

    * Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and improve supplier performance.

    Required Qualifications:

    * Strong experience performing FAIs in compliance with AS9102 standards.

    * Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.

    * Working knowledge of supplier certificates of conformance and material certifications.

    * Experience with precision measurement tools and layout inspection techniques.

    * Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    * Experience using SAP or other ERP/MRP systems for inspection or quality tracking.

    * Familiarity with Engineering Workbench, digital inspection tools, or model-based inspection systems.

    * Background in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environments.

Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $30.00-38.00 per hour.
