Description

The Night Shift Finish Operator is responsible for executing the finishing process of doors, ensuring each unit meets quality standards and specifications. This role involves staining, sealing, sanding, and top coating doors according to detailed procedures and wood species requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ Prior experience in wood finishing or manufacturing a plus.

+ Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistency.

+ Strong attention to detail and quality.

+ Basic mechanical skills for equipment setup and maintenance.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Willingness to work night shifts consistently.

Staining & Equipment Maintenance:

+ Set up and clean pumps and filters.

+ Check color blocks for accuracy.

+ Wipe stain and shade units as needed.

+ Perform seal and topcoat applications.

+ Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to stand for extended periods.

+ Manual dexterity for sanding and coating tasks.

+ Ability to lift and move doors as needed (weight limits may apply).

+ Exposure to chemicals and heat during finishing processes (PPE provided).

Work Environment:

+ Fast-paced production environment.

+ Exposure to wood dust, stains, sealants, and heat.

+ Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Salary Description

$22.82 + 15% shift differential
