    Summary:

    The Annual Giving Director is a key leader at Idaho Public Television, responsible for oversight of all individual giving resulting in40% of IdahoPTV’s private charitable revenue generation. The Annual Giving Director reports to the Director of Charitable Giving and works in partnership with the Philanthropy Director and executive team leaders to drive the strategy and financial sustainability of IdahoPTV. Simultaneously, this position manages program operations and professional staff in our donor services department. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies for tracking, prospecting, and fundraising campaigns for acquisition, retention, stewardship and cultivation of individual giving through the management of the donor relations team (comprised of donor support specialist, technical data specialist, gifts processing specialist,) to ensure that revenue goals are achieved. This position ensures the continuum of giving grows over time. The Annual Giving Director leads all customer relationship management (CRM) systems and processes, ensures data accuracy, measures and displays revenue data, and escalates revenue problems and successes associated with projects, people, and prospects proactively.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + This position plans, develops, implements, coordinates and evaluates a program.

    + This position involves review and analysis of related laws and regulations to determine fiscal, operational and program impact; recommending, developing, implementing and interpreting legislation, rules, policies and guidelines.

    + The incumbent confers with state, federal and department staff on requirements and compliance, and is responsible for program compliance with all mandated requirements.

    + Set the strategic goals for organizational individual giving revenue generation, ensuring long-term growth through sustainable teams, systems, and processes.

    + Collaborate with fiscal and development teams to create and manage annual giving budget track expenditures, keeping spending within approved limits while gaining the most benefit.

    + Oversee and track all projects, prospects, and people associated with revenue development for individual giving segments.

    + Collaborate with team leaders across the organization to escalate revenue, project, and/or people concerns proactively.

    + Measure and display fundraising performance to the organization.

    + Create and implement the annual individual giving/membership development plan and strategy, including direct marketing (mail, phone, web, on-air, digital), and mining databases to increase the number of donors and amount of donations.

    + Directs, supervises, and evaluates the performance of the donor relations team – 3-4 full-time staff along with ancillary staff or volunteers as needed for extra projects.

    + Display membership metrics to the organization; ensure support of organizational revenue goals and alignment with other departments.

    + Manage the on-air pledge drive production and infrastructure; recommend improvements and ensure appropriate training to maintain efficiency to meet or exceed on-air fundraising goals.

    + Oversee station database administration and gift entry; create and run statistical donor reports, analyze data, actively evaluate various concepts and report on them accordingly. Troubleshoots backend processed and efficiencies with technical issues and function of CRM database, donation pages, emails, digital outreach call centers, and related software modules.

    + Grow the sustainer monthly giving program.

    + Manage station Passport infrastructure and grow Passport acquisitions.

    + Oversee gift acknowledgment process, premium thank you gift ordering and fulfillment process, and donor and viewer operations.

    + Negotiate contracts with vendors; lead request for proposal process as required.

    + Serves as a spokesperson for the station as needed; serves as on-air talent.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and enthusiastic communicator with excellent public speaking skills.

    + Ability to contribute to the vision and strategy of the organization at the executive level.

    + Must possess a collaborative spirit with a commitment to growing a healthy and thriving culture, both within the Donor Relations team and across the organization.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Some knowledge of management practices. Typically gained by 5-7 years of donor or customer project management; 2-3 years team supervisory experience.

    Experience:

    + Developing procedures and/or monitoring a budget. Typically gained by: creating, submitting, and monitoring project or department budgets.

    + Supervising staff. Typically gained by: 5-7 years demonstrated leadership experience supervising staff, volunteers or board members.

    + Providing liaison with customer/provider groups. Typically gained by: 5-7 years experience fundraising, sales, community association work involving multiple vendors or constituents.

    + Interpreting federal or state regulations. Typically gained through: a combination of 1-2 years of specialized education or professional experience, and analytical practice working with federal or state regulations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 5-7 years of experience in membership and individual giving.

    + Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, nonprofit management, or related degree.

    + CFRE certification preferred but not required.

    + In-depth knowledge of various CRM systems and related software services.

    + Some knowledge of HTML, financial processes, and digital tools.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, One Drive, Outlook or equivalent.
