    Now Hiring: Travel Pathology Assistant

     

    Schedule: 13 Weeks, M-F Day Shift (7:30a – 4p); every other weekend and every other holiday expected

    _IMPORTANT: MUST RESIDE 75 MILES OR MORE FROM ZIP CODE 12983_

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Supports Pathologists by performing gross examinations, dissecting, and preparing surgical and post-mortem specimens for microscopic analysis and diagnosis

    + Describe tissue features, submit tissue samples for further testing, assist in autopsies, and maintaining lab records and equipment

    + Prepare tissues for microscopic examination by dissecting them, taking samples, placing them in cassettes, and submitting them for processing into slides

    + Perform frozen sections and provide rapid, on-the-spot feedback to surgeons during surgery about tumor presence at surgical margins

    Qualifications:

    + Active Pathologist Assistant license in New York

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Pathologist Assistant Program

    + Minimum 1 year of experience required, and 1 Travel Assignment completed

    + Required experience in Surgical Pathology, Histology, Cytology, General, and Autopsy Pathology

    + Current AHA BLS certification is required

    Pay Breakdown:

    + $2,200 weekly per diem (taxable)

    + $1,246 per week (non-taxable)

    **Pay Details:** $3,446.00 per week
