    Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist- Temporary

    **Location:** Fort Collins, CO

    **Pay:** $18.00/hour (DOE)

    **Start Date:** ASAP

     

    We are seeking an **experienced Shipping and Receiving Specialist** to join our team in Fort Collins, CO. This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and has a solid background in both domestic and international shipping. **Only candidates with previous shipping and receiving experience will be considered.**

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Meet daily shipping deadlines by packaging outgoing shipments to prevent damage in transit (including strapping and shrink-wrapping freight)

    + Prepare accurate labels and documentation for shipments via FedEx, UPS, and DHL (domestic and international)

    + Schedule and prepare documentation for LTL freight shipments using various carriers

    + Coordinate international shipments through freight forwarders, including scheduling and documentation (air, ground, ocean)

    + Monitor and resolve shipping exceptions, delays, and clearance issues

    + Maintain inventory of shipping supplies using a Kanban system

    + Prepare freight quotes upon request from other departments

    + Communicate relevant shipping updates (weather delays, holiday schedules, etc.) to internal teams

    + Coordinate with carriers regarding company closures and scheduling

    + Assist with receiving tasks and putting away inventory when needed

    Required Qualifications:

    + Prior experience in a shipping and receiving role

    + Experience with FedEx, UPS, and DHL platforms for domestic and international shipments

    + Basic computer skills, including typing, navigating systems, and using email

    + High attention to detail and ability to ensure part numbers and orders match

    + Comfortable lifting, moving, and carrying up to 50 lbs

    + Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (bending, squatting, reaching)

    + Strong organizational and communication skills

    + Able to prioritize tasks and work at a high speed with minimal supervision

    + Valid, unrestricted driver’s license

    + Reliable and punctual

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + ERP system experience

    + Familiarity with FedEx Insight, UPS WorldShip

    + Experience with Kanban systems and Lean Manufacturing principles

    + Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)

    + Knowledge of proper packaging methods and techniques

    Working Conditions:

    + Work is performed in both office and warehouse environments

    + Frequent computer use and interaction with shipping systems

    + Requires regular lifting, carrying, bending, and walking

    **Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
