Adecco is hiring immediately for a **Shipping and Receiving Clerk** , in Hidalgo, TX. Pay starting at $15.00 p/hr. This is an opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career.
SUMMARY
Handle, verify, record, and prepare items for both shipping and receiving functions. Assists Inventory Control with various functions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
**Preferred Education and/or Experience** - High School diploma or equivalent, and three years’ experience in a related shipping/receiving environment.
**Physical Demands & Environment -** Physically mobile, must be able to lift, twist, stand, bend, within a manufacturing, shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading area setting.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Review and verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
+ Assembles wooden, cardboard, or other types of containers or selects preassembled containers.
+ Inserts, packs, seals, secures items into containers in such a way to prevent damage to items during shipment.
+ Stamps, stencil, or glue identifying information, custom markings, and / or shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
+ Interface positively and effectively with manufacturing ERP systems, intercompany departments, customers, shipping companies, packing companies, or other related companies / applications / organizations.
+ Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, shortages, overages, etc. Corresponds with and resolves issues with Ametek Purchasing and / or suppliers.
+ Routes items to internal departments, stock items, and pick items from inventory.
+ Examines outgoing shipments to ensure allshipments meet specifications.
+ Maintains proper inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies.
+ Operates power forklift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving areas to storage or work areas.
+ Must follow all safety policy and procedures.
+ Must always follow good housekeeping practices including 5S .
+ Must have basic knowledge of Import / Export practices and procedures.
+ Must strive to meet on-time delivery requirements set forth by the company.
+ Must work well in a team environment and work well with others.

**Pay Details:** $15.00 per hour
