Ophthalmic Technician
**Location:** Palo Alto, CA
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
**Pay:** $32–$37/hr. (DOE)
**Type:** Contract with potential for hire
Overview:
We’re hiring an experienced **Ophthalmic Technician** to support a top-tier healthcare provider in Palo Alto. This is a full-time, weekday role in a collaborative clinical environment, working with pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform diagnostic testing (A/B Scan, autorefraction, visual acuity, corneal topography, etc.)
+ Conduct visual field tests (Goldmann & Humphrey)
+ Measure IOP using Tonopen and applanation tonometer
+ Assist with laser procedures (Argon & YAG)
+ Administer eye drops, medications, and eye irrigations
+ Accurately document patient data and test results
Requirements:
+ **2+ years** ophthalmic or optometry tech experience
+ **High School Diploma/GED**
+ **Current AHA BLS Certification**
+ Proficiency with ophthalmic equipment and EMR systems
+ Strong communication and patient care skills
Preferred:
+ Experience with pediatric ophthalmology
+ COA, COT, or COMT certification (a plus)
**Pay Details:** $32.00 to $37.00 per hour
