    Job Summary and Responsibilities

     

    The incumbent ensures the proper operation and maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, distribution lines for steam, hot water, plumbing, electricity refrigeration, for Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, Medical Office buildings and clinics. Responds rapidly to emergency situations, including fire, and disruptions of above stated utilities. Under the direction of leadership, assigns tasks and directs work assignments to engineers and maintenance technicians. Performs research for, and obtains prices quotes and makes purchases of parts, equipment and minor vendor work. This position works under the direction of the department management to help maintain a safe and efficient operation of the facility and plant, and may also oversee work performed by contractors and vendors on projects. May access medication storage areas in accordance with their job function and hospital policy.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum

    + 4 years (with 2 years in a hospital setting)

    + CA Driver's License

    + MECH Certification (Mechanical Evaluation Certification for Hospitals)

    + Certified Refrigerator Repair

    Preferred

    + Maintains and repairs the following equipment and associated systems: Boiler systems, HVAC, Pneumatic controls, Emergency generators, Electrical distribution systems, Water supply and drainage systems, Miscellaneous building equipment and systems, Physical structures of facilities, Medical gas systems, Fire Alarm systems, Nurses call and other communication systems

    Pay Range

    $53.33 - $64.85 /hour
