Job Summary and Responsibilities
**Northridge Hospital Medical Center** is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **HVAC Tech** to join our Facilities Management team. This position will assist in the maintenance, repair, and operation of the hospital's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing a safe and comfortable environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
+ Assist senior technicians in performing preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, pumps, and cooling towers.
+ Learn to troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC system malfunctions under the guidance of experienced technicians.
+ Assist with the installation of new HVAC equipment and components.
+ Perform routine inspections of HVAC systems and identify potential problems.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
+ Respond to service requests and address temperature complaints in a timely and professional manner.
+ Adhere to all safety regulations and hospital policies.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Assist with other facilities maintenance tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent GED.
+ Trade school education with required specialized training in HVAC.
+ Minimum 4 years of recent work experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of small and large capacity commercial-type HVAC equipment required.
+ Required experience includes air conditioning evaporative cooling exhaust and ventilation equipment.
+ Healthcare Facilities services experience preferred.
+ Must have experience with pneumatic controls
+ EPA Universal refrigeration license required.
+ Fire Safety Card within 90 days of hire is required.
+ Knowledge of Building Maintenance Systems (i.e. Johnson Controls Sunbelt) preferred.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Pay Range
$43.30 - $54.43 /hour
