Description We are looking for an experienced Director/Manager of Financial Reporting to lead and oversee financial operations within our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong expertise in accounting and reporting, who can ensure compliance and provide valuable insights to support decision-making. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the utilities and infrastructure industry.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Oversee internal financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and precise delivery of key reports.

• Manage budgeting and forecasting activities to support organizational planning and performance evaluation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives.

• Monitor and enforce adherence to accounting standards and internal controls within the organization.

• Guide the implementation of improvements in financial reporting systems and processes.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to the financial reporting team, fostering growth and development.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency.

• Coordinate with external auditors and stakeholders to facilitate audits and ensure transparency.

• Develop and present financial reports to senior management, offering actionable insights and updates. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting roles, demonstrating attention to detail.

• Strong knowledge of consolidation processes and internal financial reporting practices.

• Proven expertise in budgeting and forecasting methodologies.

• Certification such as CPA or similar is highly desirable.

• Background in public accounting is considered an advantage.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and interact with stakeholders.

• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with a focus on improving reporting processes.
