• Staff Accountant

    Description

    We are searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team in northern New Jersey. This role is ideal for professionals with up to 5 years of experience in accounting who are looking to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Our client has a strong preference for individuals with some experience in either Big 4 or large regional accounting firms.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

    + Perform account reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

    + Assist in the monthly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

    + Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policy.

    + Collaborate with the team on process improvements, ensuring operational efficiencies.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).

    + Up to 5 years' of professional accounting experience.

    + Proficiency in using accounting software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or others).

    + Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).

    + Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating across departments.
