    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Delanco, NJ)


    Description

    Robert Half is looking for an experienced Controller to lead and oversee the financial operations of our client's organization in South Jersey. This Controller role is critical in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes while driving improvements in financial reporting and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    Responsibilities:

    + Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger activities, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory control, and payroll.

    + Coordinate month-end closings, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and timely reporting.

    + Review credit transactions and requests, ensuring adherence to company policies and financial stability.

    + Prepare financial statements and reports for management, providing insights into branch performance.

    + Supervise administrative staff and oversee HR functions, such as onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.

    + Ensure compliance with company policies and processes while maintaining operational efficiency.

    + Oversee information systems, including hardware and software, and provide training and troubleshooting support to staff.

    Requirements

    The ideal Controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA required.

    Other requirements for the Controller position include and are not limited to:

    + 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably out of Manufacturing industry.

    + Proven supervisory experience and ability to lead a small team

    + Excellent technical skills including proficiency in MS Office.

    + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

    + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
