    Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Office Manager / Accounting Clerk to join our team in Rutland, Vermont. In this long-term contract position, you will oversee office operations while managing essential accounting functions to ensure smooth workflow and financial accuracy. This role requires a proactive individual who excels in multitasking and has strong expertise in accounting systems and office software.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage day-to-day office operations to maintain efficiency and organization.

    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

    • Utilize accounting software systems, including Great Plains, to handle financial records and transactions.

    • Prepare and process billing functions with precision and attention to detail.

    • Maintain accurate financial documentation and reporting for internal and external purposes.

    • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

    • Coordinate office activities and administrative tasks to support team productivity.

    • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless communication and operations.

    • Use Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools to create reports, analyze data, and track financial metrics.

    • Monitor and improve office processes to enhance overall efficiency and compliance. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Outlook.

    • Strong knowledge of accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

    • Experience with billing processes and financial documentation.

    • Familiarity with accounting software systems, particularly Great Plains.

    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage office operations effectively.

    • Ability to provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues professionally.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks and reporting.

    • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team environment.
