Summary
The Senior Client Partner is responsible for the sale of advertising and sponsorships across SHRM’s media portfolio, including digital, video, audio, and print. A strong understanding in lead generation, demand generation, thought leadership, and brand awareness paves the road to maintaining and growing existing business, and developing and pursuing leads for new business. This role is on the lookout for emerging trends within the industry, to think beyond SHRM’s current portfolio for ad monetization. The position operates with established sales goals and directly contributes to the organization’s overall revenue goals.
Responsibilities
+ Sell multi-platform advertising and brand partnership solutions through client and agencies.
+ Establish and deepen relationships with strategic clients and prospects.
+ Create customized advertising and marketing proposals for clients and prospects based upon client strategy, objectives, target audiences, and budgets.
+ Prospect and convert new business by uncovering new opportunities.
+ Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) from clients/prospects and/or their representatives, devising and delivering sales proposals in a professionally persuasive manner and based upon type of budget and/or mix of desired advertising.
+ Stay current on industry trends and specific customer needs, introducing and following up on the development of new SHRM offerings and products.
+ Meet or exceed established sales volume and revenue goals.
+ Work with Ad Ops and Sales Support to deliver clients with stellar customer service.
+ Analyze data and prepare and submit regular medium-specific long-and short-range sales forecasts, and other reports as required.
+ Participate in conferences, meetings, and tracks competitive media products to remain current on market trends and generation of new sales leads.
+ Employ an entrepreneurial and creative approach to your business.

Education & Experience Requirements
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Experience:
+ A minimum of 7 years of professional media advertising experience with a bachelor’s degree; or a minimum of 9 years of professional media advertising experience in lieu of a degree
+ Experience selling digital, print, content, audio and social advertising to clients and agencies.
+ Experience working and growing a multi-million dollar sales territory.
+ Experience managing a multi-million dollar forecast and report out weekly to senior management.

+ Ability to effectively leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and improve overall work quality.
+ Ability to scale the business within the account list through deepening relationships and working across multiple lines of business
+ Strong presentation and in-person sales skills and a proven record of accomplishment in building and sustaining client/agency relationships.
+ A strong business development focus, willing to self-start and prospect to uncover new business.
+ Ability to establish rapport, develop credibility, and sell ideas to senior management.
+ Ability to travel to client and event locations (when in-person meeting activity is appropriate).
+ Ability to organize, plan, execute, and coordinate complex deals, as well as to meet deadlines.
+ Ability to work independently with little supervision.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Effective relationship building and collaboration skills.
+ Basic mathematical problem-solving skills.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
+ Strong business acumen.
+ Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management software preferred.

Work Environment
Fully Remote Position:
+ Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00AM – 9:00AM. and concluding between 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
**Travel:** 20 – 30%

The hiring range for this position is $95,000 to $118,000 per year + commission. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
