Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist
+ Initiate and manage daily contact with customers regarding overdue payments.
+ Negotiate and establish repayment plans based on customer financial situations.
+ Advise customers on strategies and actions for resolving outstanding balances.
+ Document all collection activities and maintain accurate records.
+ Resolve customer issues that may delay payment and facilitate prompt resolution.
+ Send monthly statements and maintain the receivables database.
+ Support internal audits and participate in special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
+ Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
+ 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections; additional experience may substitute for formal education.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, BPCS).
+ Strong communication and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
Work Environment:
+ Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Schenectady, NY office, 2 days remote.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
