Summary of Role:

This position is for a BEOL (Back End Of Line) Integration Engineer to be a part of a Technology Development Integration engineering team participating in advanced technology development and manufacturing implementation in GlobalFoundries’ state of the art 300mm wafer fab (Fab8) in Malta, New York. The position is a Principal level within Global Foundries.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

+ The primary responsibility of this position is to transfer, develop and/or implement 45nm Si-Photonics technology to meet GlobalFoundries’ technology roadmap requirements.

+ The individual will work closely with module engineering organizations to meet all customer technology and company cost and revenue goals

+ Collaborate with module engineering organizations to develop integration scheme in the BEOL module.

+ Work with module engineering organizations to optimize existing BEOL modules to improve inline, ET, defectivity and yield performance in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

+ Collaborate with reliability organizations to qualify BEOL modules to meet the technology reliability requirement.

+ Work on new customer product ​introduction into the Fab.

Other Responsibilities:

+ Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

+ Education – Graduating with Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering or related field from an accredited degree program .

+ Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.

+ Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Self-starter and highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging professional environment.

+ Experience in BEOL process integration or multiple process modules in a semiconductor fabrication setting.

+ Experience in Silicon Photonics is a Plus but not required

+ Results oriented and focused on quality of work

+ Strong structured problem-solving skills.

+ Strong interpersonal skills with leadership and ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, as well as internal and external partners

+ Strong presentation and technical writing skills

Expected Salary Range

$65,400.00 - $145,800.00
