Job Title: Configuration TechnicianPosition Overview

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Technician to join our team in an entry-level capacity. This role involves preparing IT equipment for deployment by performing pre-configuration tasks, validating functionality, and ensuring quality standards are met prior to shipment. It’s a hands-on opportunity ideal for individuals looking to grow within the IT industry.

Key Responsibilities

+ Follow written instructions to provision and configure IT devices for deployment.

+ Perform basic kitting and packaging of equipment.

+ Unbox, re-box, and prepare devices for shipping.

+ Clean, test, and inspect hardware to ensure proper functionality.

+ Escalate technical issues to supervisors as needed.

+ Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.

+ Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ Technical certifications are a plus but not required; willingness to pursue certifications is expected.

Physical Requirements

+ Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 60 lbs.

+ Frequent standing, bending, and handling of IT hardware.

+ Occasional use of basic tools and cleaning materials.

+ Comfortable working with computers and reading technical documentation.

Technical Skills

+ Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.

+ Familiarity with hardware peripherals (e.g., monitors, keyboards, mice).

+ Ability to follow scripts and document work accurately.

+ Foundational troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
