The opportunity:

We are seeking action- oriented candidates for the Shipping Supervisor position. The ideal candidate will have a background in logistics, the ability to build teams, and very strong computer skills. They will need to have the ability to hold others accountable, be innovative, and have strong organizational and customer service skills

What you need to succeed:

\u2022 Excellent communication of department and plant goals

\u2022Serve as a coach and counselor for department employees regarding performance and ability to build department teamwork.

\u2022Schedule shipments and dock times; dispatches loads.

\u2022Order materials, parts, and supplies as required.

\u2022Implement continuous improvement projects and cost reduction ideas.

\u2022Manage trailers for optimum utilization.

\u2022Take and maintain accurate inventories.

\u2022Ensure employees perform required inspections and tests.

\u2022Follow all safety rules and practices.

\u2022Prepare and maintains accurate records.
