_Production Planner - Jennie-O Turkey Store (Pelican Rapids, MN)_

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for planning all finished good production within the Pelican Rapids facility.

2. Responsible for ordering and ensuring the plant has raw materials ahead of production schedule.

3. Work with plant operations to ensure plant is scheduled efficiently to minimize costs, while ensuring optimal case fill percentage and mitigating any distressed product.

4. Provide metrics, reporting and recommendations on SKU Management.

5. Additional duties assigned based on current business needs.

Qualifications:

Required

1. At least one year of experience in one or combined areas of Plant operations, Transportation, Logistics, Production Scheduling, Distribution or Supply Chain experience.

2. Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.

3. Strong Interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal communication skills.

4. Detail oriented with ability to adapt to a changing environment.

5. Have strong process orientation skills.

6. Strong skills working with AS400 and query writing ability/experience.

7. Strong skills in Excel spreadsheets.

8. A pattern of initiative and leadership.

9. Good organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.

10. Able to work some Saturdays when required.

Preferred:

Associate degree in business

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $19.00-$26.75 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
