    Heritage Ministries is in growth mode and currently seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to join our team. The Chief Nursing Officer will be responsible for the daily oversight for all clinical nursing and operational services throughout Heritage Ministries. Working in collaboration with the operations team, the CNO is responsible for clinical service quality and effectiveness, nurse education, employee health, infection control, clinical quality assurance, litigation risk, medical provider oversight, and MDS assessment processes. In conjunction with Directors of Nursing, assesses plans, develops and implements clinical and operational strategy to meet goals. The CNO partners with the Director of Skilled Nursing Administration, Administrators, Finance, Human Resources, internal and external customers such as referring acute care facilities, community organizations, Leadership team, and governmental agencies to ensure effective, efficient and appropriate processes are developed and implemented to provide services to the residents. Other responsibilities include quality care improvement, growth and development of services, quality improvement, risk management, CMS and DOH compliance, Admissions, vendor relationships, Nursing Education, and active communication throughout Nursing and continual improvement of culture.     Responsibilities:

    + Provides overall and day-to-day leadership for the clinical aspects of the facilities with specific focus on leading the RN, LPN and CNA workforce.

    + In collaboration with the Medical Director analyzes outcomes for best-practice standards and adherence to policies and procedures.

    + Establishes and directs the nursing model to include administrative and clinical nursing procedures, clinical and operational policies and standards for quality assurance.

    + Develops and communicates annual individual goals for key Nursing leaders, and provides ongoing coaching/ mentoring on performance to direct report staff. Participates in the development of the organization's overall strategic objectives.

    + Develops, implements and administers a full range of clinical policies (with other sr. staff as appropriate), utilizing evidence-based and best/ emerging practices.

    + Works with operations and clinical leadership to establish clinical performance goals that are consistent with the overall operational plan; develops measurement tools and protocols to assess and communicate results to sr. leadership and appropriate staff.

    Qualifications:

    + Registered Nurse (NY) with Master of Science in Nursing or advanced degree in Clinical Practice, Education or Master’s in Business Administration.

    + Ten (10) years of progressive proven senior healthcare executive leadership experience in long-term care, acute care, or post-acute care environments.

    + Significant working knowledge of the full continuum of healthcare within the evolving healthcare market; including acute care issues and needs, long term care/rehabilitation, post-acute care services based on applicable nursing best practice standards of care.

    + Experience in partnering with hospitals and other providers for efficiency, quality and legislative influencing to maintain services to at-risk populations

    + Knowledge and experience with implementing/assessing models of service such as Person-Centered Care.

    + An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
