Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a **Certified Nursing Assistant** to work at a facility in **Wayne, NJ** . These are registry positions with our company,

**Pay Rate:** $28 - $31 / hour

*W2

Shift Details:

+ (6 for 7-3, 2 for 3-11, 2 for 11-7)

+ Required to work every other weekend, Saturday & Sunday.

Duties:

+ Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them.

+ Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, urine intake and output, and food intake and output, reporting any drastic changes to a nurse or physician.

+ Provide basic patient care and treatments, such as feeding, changing soiled garments and giving massages.

+ Help patients with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, moving in bed, standing, and walking.

+ Reposition and turn bed bound patients; assist those who need help walking or assistance transporting in wheelchairs.

+ Provide patients comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing staff.

+ Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

+ Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.

+ Serves and protects the facility by adhering to professional standards, facility policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements; and JCAHO standards, where applicable.

+ Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining certification.

+ Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care.

+ Serve food trays and examine them for conformance to prescribed diet.

+ Apply compresses, ice bags and hot water bottles as directed by nursing supervisor.

+ Keep rooms clean and change soiled bedding and bedpans.

+ Transport medical equipment in and out of rooms according to patient requirements.

+ Inventory and requisition supplies.

+ Make appointments, keep records and perform other clerical duties in doctors' offices and clinics.

+ Maintains compliance and complies with annual requirements

+ Successfully completes required employment-related documentation, testing, and screenings in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications:

+ **At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant**

+ CPR card issued by the American Heart Association

+ Must have up to date certification in the state of **NJ**

+ Has long term care (LTC) experience.

+ An updated resume

+ New Jersey License/Certification

+ Recent physical exam (within 2 weeks of start date)

+ X-ray for PPD (if positive reading)

+ Current Criminal background check

+ Driver's License

+ Social Security card

+ CPR Certification – Nurses only

+ COVID-19 Vaccination card or vaccination status – Please note: While not required, we must tract vaccination data for regulatory agencies

+ Proof of Flu vaccine (if applicable)

+ Name change document (if applicable)

+ MUST specifically indicate that the CNA speaks Spanish or is fluent in Spanish.
