JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for controlling the proper entry and departures of containers/trailers on the grounds and buildings to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Responsible for controlling proper entry. Greets all traffic arriving at facility gates.
+ Control of inbound and outbound trailer movement to and from lot.
+ Coordinates any special needs for drivers with site supervisor.
+ Interact with drivers entering and leaving the facility, ensuring all check in/out and procedures as required Collect BOL’s from inbound drivers logging the inbound in the office log.
+ Retrieve outbound load packets, record into office log, filing to ensure accessible for outbound drivers.
+ Assigns drop/pickup locations Verifies inbound shipments by type, assign locations, for live unloading, drop location's, door assignments, records all applicable data in system.
+ Verifies outbound shipment with drivers exiting the facility, matching paperwork to driver, tractor, trailer number & Seal to proper destination.
+ Seal trailers with seal that matches OB packet and trailer.
+ Updates system for all inbounds and outbounds Manually maintains daily record of all inbound and outbound tractors, trailers, pickups and deliveries for system failure backup.
+ Records and maintains a daily physical yard check of all trailers stored at the customer drop lot locations.
+ To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Good data entry skills.
+ Excellent customer service.
+ Ability to work with little to no supervisor.
+ PC skills to include e-mails and spreadsheets.
+ Ability to work in all elements of weather.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.
