    As a **Senior Technical Program Manager** on the OpenAI Partnership team, you will influence the overarching strategy for one of Microsoft’s most critical partnerships. You will set the vision and strategy for cross-functional initiatives that span engineering, product, and business domains. You will lead the creation, design, and execution of scalable processes, architect scalable and easy to read dashboards and reporting for executive leadership and foster relationships to drive impact across Microsoft and OpenAI. This is a highly visible, high-impact role that requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate and communicate effectively at the executive level.

    Responsibilities

    + Set and drive the end-to-end program strategy for high-impact, multi-product AI initiatives, anticipating market and technology trends, aligning executive leaders across functions, and defining clear deliverables, timelines, and success metrics. Maintain visibility and accountability through structured forums, building trust and driving alignment and execution across teams without direct authority.

    + Lead multiple concurrent programs with broad business impact, driving operational rigor, continuous improvement, and early identification and escalation of blockers to ensure commitments are met, supported by stakeholder relationships.

    + Accelerate time-to-market, maximize customer and partner value, and champion AI and automation in program operations. Deliver executive dashboards and insights, using data to measure impact and drive accountability.

    + Mentor peers and lead communities of practice to promote growth and inclusion by sharing best practices.

    + Coordinate across business development, legal, product, research, and engineering to support deal execution and partnership enablement, collaborating with Microsoft and OpenAI teams to ensure successful IP transfer, progress tracking, and gap reporting.

    + Analyze needs, form hypotheses, test solutions, and integrate feedback to build effective solutions. Monitor performance metrics, iterate on improvements, and foster relationships to deliver results.

    + Build automated solutions to enhance cross company impact.

    + Be available to work on-call as needed, aligned with product release cycles and role-specific requirements.

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

    + Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

    + Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex programs with executive visibility and business impact.

    + **Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:** This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.

    Additional or Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

    + 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

    + 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

    + 3+ years of experience working with AI products or services.

    + Experience with global partnerships and/or highly regulated industries.

    + Demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

    + Ability to succeed in ambiguous, fast paced environments.

    + Proficient communication, negotiation, and executive presence.

    + Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

    + Experience using data to drive prioritization and measure progress.

    + Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

    + Proficient collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written).

     

    Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
