    Partner Investments drives revenue growth for Microsoft by leading the decisions and governance for the multi-billion portfolio of commercial investments across our Global Channel Partner Sales organization (GCPS). In addition, the team provides the governance and end-to-end ownership for systems, tools, analytics and compliance for GCPS.

    As a **Partner Investments Program Director** , you will play a lead role in managing a partner investment program end to end including influencing program design, execution strategy and policies to ensure run excellence to meet the strategic objectives of the program. You will be responsible for coordinating multiple related projects to achieve overarching business objectives. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, ensuring that tactical initiatives align with program goals and deliver measurable outcomes. As the primary business owner of program, you will also drive enhancement for future using program performance insights on the effectiveness of the program to Microsoft and Partners.

    Responsibilities

    + Define program scope, objectives, and success metrics. Develop and manage detailed program plans to ensure timely delivery across workstreams.

    + Lead and influence cross-functional teams—including engineering, marketing, finance, and operations—to drive unified execution and maintain consistent delivery cadence.

    + Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes effectively to leadership.

    + Identify and mitigate risks. Allocate resources efficiently to optimize talent and budget utilization.

    + Track progress against KPIs and provide regular updates and insights to leadership, adjusting plans to align with strategic goals.

    + Produce executive-grade materials such as quarterly business reviews, risk analyses, and optimization recommendations.

    + Lead change management efforts, including communications and training for internal and external stakeholders.

    + Oversee vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance management to meet program needs.

    + Own the escalation path and decision authority. Triage critical incidents, coordinate cross-functional responders, and drive timely resolution to minimize business impact.

    + Ensure cross-functional alignment on planning by clarifying scope, requirements, and dependencies upfront.

    Qualifications

    Required/minimum qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + Ability to dive deep and quickly develop subject matter expertise, understand proper business context (partner ecosystem & incentive programs) and bring own point of view to a problem

    + Written and oral communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex issues into clear, understandable concepts for audiences at all levels

    + Comfortable driving impactful outcomes in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a forward-thinking mindset

    + Ability to build effective relationships with multiple stakeholders

    Additional or preferred qualifications

    + Well organized with skills in cross-team collaboration

    + Exhibit business curiosity with the ability to act broadly across the Commercial Partner landscape

    + Exhibit a high degree of self-awareness, professional maturity, and situational leadership

    + Knowledge of Microsoft commercial licensing and Partner Ecosystemis a plus

    + Experience in business program management roles

     

    Business Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
