Northrop Grumman AS Mission Assurance is seeking a **Strategic Planning Director 1** to join our diverse team of professionals and will be based in **Palmdale, CA** . The Director will report to the AS Sector Mission Assurance vice president will lead all aspects of strategy and long-range planning, to include the following:
+ **Strategy Deployment Process** (SDP): Lead the process to develop and measure an integrated strategy aligned with sector, division and functional imperatives. Partner with business units and functions to define ‘target’ and ‘stretch’ objectives, strategic gaps, and outcomes needed to meet annual and long-range strategic goals.
+ **Mission Assurance Roadmaps** : Assess and influence long-term mission needs to identify future capabilities needed, investments necessary to close the gap, and strategies to deliver needed capabilities.
+ **Strategic Gap Analysis** : Lead strategic gap analysis within the program / functions to identify technology, capability, or process gaps, prioritize them, and align resources to meet them.
+ **Internal Investment (NCTA)** : Drive process to prioritize investment requests, aligned with strategy and gaps, and allocate resources. Develop candidates for sector-level technology / capability gap funding, advocate for those resources, and manage projects funded with sector and division funds.
+ **Strategic Studies** : Lead strategic people, technology, competitor, or capability studies for Mission Assurance and provide strategic actions recommendations
+ **Cross-functional Business Insight** : Develop and maintain cross functional Mission Assurance to program/divisional insight to business processes (EVMS, CAM resources, EAC analytics, etc.)
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 10+ years of experience within the Aerospace Mission Assurance / Operations community.
+ 5+ years management experience (direct-reports or via projects/teams).
+ Experience in creating strategies, gap analysis, and associated investment plans.
+ Proven and effective executive-level briefing, writing and organizational skills.
+ Demonstrated collaboration and leadership skills in support of culture changes
+ Current Secret and/or ability to obtain Special Access Clearance (SAR) at the time of application
+ US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ MBA, MSC or equivalent.
+ Northrop Grumman internal long-range strategic development process experience.
+ Northrop Grumman cost account manager
+ Northrop Grumman internal investment process experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $197,600.00 - $296,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
