    Responsibilities

    Purpose:

    Manage the work for all Maintenance Technicians, ensuring timely CM’s and PM’s to drive improvement in our overall plant efficiencies

     

    + Direct and manage the Maintenance Technicians in Sparks, NV

    + Support & comply with safety, food safety & environmental guidelines

    + Improve machine up time by ensuring all CM’s and PM’s are properly performed and documented in Avante

    + Maintain facility by ensuring daily walks are completed and other requirements per the Facilities Engineer

    + Oversee spare parts inventory

    + Research and purchase parts as needed for machine break downs and/or spare parts replacement

    + Diagnose problems with equipment & repair/replace defective parts

    + Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout the manufacturing and warehousing operations

    + Work closely with Production, Warehouse and Engineering to create a team atmosphere

    + Communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team

    + Make recommendations for improvement in the equipment and facilities

    Qualifications

    + Good math skills

    + Good English language skills

    + Welding skills

    + Good communication skills

    + Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems

    + Advanced manufacturing mechanical experience

    + Advanced manufacturing controls and wiring experience

    + Basic understanding of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagrams

    + Proficient in MS Office / Computer

    + No fear of heights

    + Prior experience managing in a manufacturing environment

    Physical Demands

    + Regularly required to stand, walk, communicate, see and hear

    + Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

    + Frequently climb towers up to 35 feet high

    + Regularly required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch or bend

    + Strong motor skills
