    Job Description

    Base Salary: $106,000-$125,000

     

    General Physician is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Oncology service line. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will play a key role in the multidisciplinary lung cancer program, providing patient-centered care focused on early detection, prevention, and coordination of lung health services. This advanced practice provider will conduct shared decision-making visits for lung cancer screening, lead evidence-based smoking cessation counseling, and support the management and follow-up of patients enrolled in the lung nodule program. The NP/PA will collaborate closely with thoracic surgeons, pulmonologists, radiologists, oncologists, and primary care teams to ensure timely, compassionate, and coordinated patient care.

     

    This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday. No on-call requirements or weekends. This position is 100% outpatient.

    Requirements:

    + Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program;

    + High acuity experience preferred as a RN or APP.

    + Board certification

    + New York State license

    + DEA registration

    + BLS, ACLS and Infection Control certifications.

    + A clinical background in geriatric, adult or family medicine is preferred.

    + Shared on call with other providers
