Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

+ Manufacturing engineering tasks that do not require 4 year degree. Primarily tactical responsibilities. This does not include general administrative work.

+ Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.

+ Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

+ May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

+ A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or related technical area from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED accompanied by 4 years of manufacturing or production experience.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future

• This position is 100% onsite at the GE factory in Schenectady, NY

Desired Characteristics

+ Manufacturing experience or internship in manufacturing environment preferred.

+ Technical aptitude in an engineering discipline.

+ Experience with tooling design and or process improvement.

+ Ability to present clearly to manufacturing operators and leadership.

+ Experience in writing standard operating procedures.

+ Ability to document, plan and execute programs.

Pay Transparency

_The base pay range for this position is $74,800 - $112,200_ **.** _The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 5_ **_%_** _performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.​_

_*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas._
