    Job Summary

    The Operations Coordinator provides support for the Division I women’s ice hockey program. The Operations Coordinator assists with operations of the video program, team travel, recruit travel, recruit research, and logistical support for team events and fund raising.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Associate’s degree required; alternatively, two (2) additional years of directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

    + Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

    + Working knowledge of the game of ice hockey, preferably at the collegiate level

    + Experience operating modern video equipment and video editing software

    + Familiarity with video editing systems, preferably XOS Systems

     

    Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

     

    Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    + Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (word, excel, access, Outlook) and XOS Systems

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    + Ability to work with minimum supervision

    + Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

    + Ability to properly handle confidential information

    + Ability to compose routine correspondence and reports

    + Requires good problem solving skills involving multiple variables in standard situations

    + Must possess the skills necessary to deliver exemplary customer service

    + Ability to prioritize work

    + Ability to perform basic financial functions

    + Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously

    + Ability to work in fast paced environment

    Representative Job Duties

     

    + Coordinate all aspects of the video program for the women’s ice hockey program including set-up, filming, and marking. Coordinate all aspects of the video exchange program. Maintain a partnership with RPI TV to prepare highlight films and coordinate all TV broadcasts. Coordinate all video requests of student-athletes. Coordinate all video for team banquet and special events.

    + Coordinate all aspects of team travel. Reserve hotels arrange meals and transportation for all away contests and recruiting trips. Prepare and distribute team itineraries.

    + Organize, and prepare travel expense reports in accordance with Institute policies for coaching staff to submit through Institute wide enterprise systems.

    + Assist in the development of a yearly playing schedule.

    + Serve as a liaison to the box office for group ticket sales. Assist with organizing youth hockey opportunities at RPI women’s hockey games and practices.

    + Compile recruiting research as requested by the coaching staff. Assist with all official and unofficial visits including transportation, lodging and meals and preparation of itineraries Serve as Video Coordinator for all recruiting efforts – download video of recruits and break down for assistant coaches.

    + Assist with the planning, execution and logistical support of events including, but not limited to camps, Parents Weekend, golf outings, alumnae events and banquets. Organize parent comp ticket program for both home and away contests.

    + Other duties as assigned.

     

    Shift

     

    Non Standard Shift: This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel, to support team operations and events.

     

    Travel

     

    Occasional overnight travel may be required(10% or less)

    Starting Salary/Rate

     

    Expected hiring range: $21.00 - $26.00

     

    Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
