SHIPPING COORDINATOR ($21-$32 per hour)
Summary
A Shipping Coordinator is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments both domestic and international. As such, they must understand and comply with US Import/Export controls and reporting. They also perform Shipping Clerk duties when needed.
Essential Duties
+ Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and dispatching outgoing shipments.
+ Process internal reworks and customer returns.
+ Keep files of goods shipped and received by properly filing paperwork.
+ Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
+ Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.
+ Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.
+ Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
+ Willingness to undergo coursework as needed to understand and apply EAR. (Export Administration Regulations)
+ Maintain a professional presence with all levels of the organization.
+ Maintain positive and productive working relationships with employees and supervisors throughout the company.
+ Adhere to SEHA Guiding Principles and participate in continuous improvement activities.
+ Will perform other projects and tasks, as directed. Some duties may differ based on assigned area.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Minimum of 4 years working in a fast-paced administrative role where analytical thinking skills were essential.
+ Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Well-versed in Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel. Capable of learning new software programs as well as company proprietary software systems. Fundamental understanding of web-based documentation environments.
+ Well organized with a strong attention to detail. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
+ Customer service orientated with excellent oral and written communications skills.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills. Can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and will seek assistance if needed.
+ Able to work independently and in a team environment. Must work effectively and collaboratively with co-workers. Respects the viewpoints of others. Able to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and diplomacy.
+ Able to follow all employment, site services, safety, and quality policies.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience
+ ROSS and SAP experience is a plus.
+ Experience in export traffic coordination. Previous experience working with Customs brokers, forwarders, and international partners.
+ Familiarity with international documentation, HTS, and Schedule B helpful.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
This position is 100% on-site work. Most work will be performed in an office environment. Must wear required protective equipment and clothing when necessary. Must be able to read, comprehend, execute, and communicate instructions and procedures. Requires an ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time. Able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time as required. Walks and climbs stairs on an occasional basis. Close vision (<2 feet) required. Frequently lifts up to 5 lbs. Occasionally lifts up to 10 lbs. Normal twisting, stretching, lifting associated with a standard office environment. Typically works an 8 hour day M-F, occasional over time may be required. A high degree of safety consciousness is required for all positions at SEH America.
