Hours: 36, 3x12s
Shift: Wednesday - Friday, 7a-7:30p (30 minute lunch)
On-call required
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks
Required experience: 2 years of experience as a sonographer. RDMS certification required. BLS required. Must have vascular/echo experience. Cerner experience required.
Anatomy, physiology production of radiographs utilizingmultiple types of equipment. Provide care appropriate to the age of the patientserved.
Education: Graduate of Sonographer accredited program required.
Position summary: Performs dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organsfor the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs. Performs avariety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Using sonographic equipment to record images of patients and help diagnose avariety of medical illnesses and conditions. Performs diagnostic patient careservices using ultrasound technology. They are responsible for operatingsonographic equipment and communicating the results of diagnostic examinations. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successfulaccomplishment of their imaging needs.
The Ultrasound Technician performs a variety of specializedtechnical tasks utilizing high frequency ultrasound waves to assist with thedetection of medical conditions or abnormalities by producing images of theinside of a patient’s body.
Minimum Requirements:
+ A certification from an accredited ultrasound school
+ One year of experience as an ultrasound technicianpreferred.
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
